Angels in Music — Send Me

Angels in Music — Send Me

Last night, the Los Angeles Catholic Archdiocese, the Jewish Music Commission of Los Angeles, and the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church held their Fifth Annual Interfaith Concert

This year’s theme was "Angels in Theology, Art and Music."  Four choirs performed:  The Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir, the Choral Society of Southern California, the Los Angeles Zimriyah Chorale, and the Los Angeles Vocal and Instrumental Ensemble (La Vie).

If you click here, you can watch and listen to "Send Me" ("Then I said to Adonai, ‘here I am, here I am — Send me’") composed by Rabbi Moshe Rothblum, performed by the combined choirs in Hebrew, with a stirring solo by Cantor Ira Bigeleisen.  The conductor is the great Nick Strimple, whose gesture at the end captures the moment.

It is three-and-a-half minutes — do not skip it
