After making his remarkable address at the United Nations (some historical background about the conclusion of his speech is here), Benjamin Netanyahu went to the 92nd Street Y to address a group invited by the Consulate General of Israel in New York and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. I have put the link to the video below.
Netanyahu enters the hall at about 2 minutes into the video and receives an ovation. He is introduced by Elie Wiesel at about 10 minutes into the video, and Wiesel gives a personal and quite moving introduction, which is followed by Netanyahu’s speech – given in a conversational but eloquent tone and his recounting of meeting the Rebbe when he became Israel’s ambassador to the UN back in the 1980s, followed by one of the most inspiring summations an Israeli leader has given in a long, long time.
