The above picture was posted by MiJuBri Farms in her June 6, 2008 post entitled "Sarah Palin:  Our 'Queen Esther' for VP," which listed women of valor throughout history, including "the mythical Proverbs 31 Woman" (who "was not always a stay at home mom" but "dabbled in real estate and ran a textile business" while she was "up before dawn and prepared breakfast for her family and her servants").

From the comment by Yael to that post:

I was surprised to see your reference to Proverbs 31.  She is "Aishes Chayil," an "Accomplished Woman" (or sometimes, "Woman of Valor") — and very familiar to Jews.  It's our tradition that the poem is sung every Friday night at the Shabbat table, most often by the husband to his wife.  I thought you might also be interested to know that in Hebrew, the text is arranged into 22 lines, each line starting with the next letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

Strength and dignity are her clothing; and she laugheth at the time to come."  ( Proverbs 31:25 )

Shabbat Shalom.
