People in or near Los Angeles have an unusual opportunity on Sunday, June 24 to hear an important presentation at Stephen S. Wise Temple from a stellar speaker who is not often in the area: Eli Hertz.
Hertz is the Chairman of CAMERA (Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America), the President of Myth and Facts, Inc., the Executive Vice President of the Israel-America Chamber of Commerce, one of the members of the Executive Council of AIPAC, and one of the Trustees of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, among other associations.
He is a child of Holocaust survivors, a former captain in the IDF (having served seven years as a paratrooper), and the author of several important books and monographs (including “Reply” and “This Land is My Land” — which Melanie Phillips recently described as worthy of being “distributed to all media outlets”).
He will be speaking at 3 p.m. on June 24 in the Stephen Wise Sanctuary Building, after opening remarks by Yaron Gamburg, Israel’s Deputy Consul General, in an event being sponsored or co-sponsored by eight major Jewish or Christian/Jewish organizations. Reservations can be obtained through Doris Wise Montrose, the tireless President of Children of Jewish Holocaust Survivors Los Angeles, at (818) 704-0523 (email doris@aiwj.org).
Those who can come on the 24th should not miss it: Eli Hertz on "The Truth in Israel’s Defense."
