The Jerusalem Post reports
that the U.S. is waiting for Abbas “to deliver” on his obligation to dismantle terrorism
before investing any political capital in him. Meanwhile:
PA Minister for Jerusalem Affairs Hind Khouri, who is meeting this week
with administration officials in Washington, said Wednesday she was presenting
a Palestinian request to raise the issues of the final-status agreement right
now, and not focus on details, such as the Rafah crossing and the participation
of Hamas in PA elections.
Dismantling terrorist organizations and infrastructure,
confiscating illegal weapons, organizing an election without terrorists,
stopping attacks on women and children, sealing their own borders, putting
Israel on their maps, changing their curriculum . . .
