 The Lincoln Bedroom Rocks

Lincoln_bedroom_all_access The Lincoln Bedroom’s performance at Molly Malone’s Irish Pub last month got reviewed by Mike Cavanaugh at All Access Magazine on July 10:

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve gone to a bar to review a specific band and because I got there early was treated to an opening band that blew my socks off, and in the process destroyed the band I was there to see. The Lincoln Bedroom was that band recently.

The Lincoln Bedroom is comprised of four unpretentious musicians who write killer up-beat, fun songs, that are great to jump around to while tossing back a few pints and a shot or two. Their MySpace references their music as Indie /Country but in my ears I hear distinct roots based in Irish bar music, and I know no music better to jump around drinking to. Plus the energy these guys fill the stage with is so positive, rousing and infectious you’d have to be dead not to get caught up in their musical tsunami.

And aside from writing fun songs, The Lincoln Bedroom is made up of four top notch musicians. By far the most animated of the bunch, bouncing around like he’s got ants in his pants and an absolute blast to watch, is the drummer Zetumer. On some songs Zutumer is playing normally with two drum sticks, then the next song he might have a drum stick in one hand and a shaker or tambourine in the other. But the hand without the drum stick is the one that’s banging the cymbals. And don’t think the other guys are sticks in the mud either. All four are personable, talkative on stage and interacting with the crowd, and really have fun playing music together.

The Lincoln Bedroom is currently going into the studio to record a full length CD over the summer so hit them up to check out their current 4 song EP.

More proof (to the extent you are not already convinced by this and this) that the band is happening.  Next performance:  September 7 at The Echo, 1822 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles 90026.
